Abstract
Malignant gastrointestinal neuroectodermal tumor (GNET) is a rare neoplasm with only few cases reported in the literature, especially in Latin America. Described for the first time in 2003, this entity does not have a standardized treatment and carries a poor prognosis.
We present the case of a 22-year-old female presenting with abdominal pain, anemia, and a palpable abdominal mass. After pertinent studies, the complete resection of the tumor was performed and subsequent oncological treatment was done.
