Abstract

Acute appendicitis is the most common cause of acute abdomen and surgery worldwide. The prevalence of Enterobius vermicularis infection in cases of appendicitis ranging from approximately 2% in the Americas. We present a case of acute appendicitis complicated with perforation and localized peritonitis associated with the presence of a parasite in the intraoperative period, which later studies would typify as Enterobius vermicularis.
