Abstract

Deep perianal abscesses can present with uncommon symptoms and may spread to atypical locations, such as the extraperitoneal space. In these cases, presentation is non-specific and therefore, delay in diagnosis can lead to severe sepsis. We present the case of a male patient who came to the Emergency Room with an extraperitoneal abscess due to a deep perianal infection.
