Factores de riesgo asociado a dehiscencia de anastomosis en cirugía colorrectal
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Background
Anastomotic leakage (AL) corresponds to a complication in colorectal surgery, its incidence ranges from 2 to 19%. International literature, can be found numerous studies on the identification of risk factors (RF).
Aim
Perform a descriptive characterization of institutional results and establish the AL rate, its associated risk factors and mortality.
Design
Retrospective, linear, prospective data base.
Method
Non-concurrent series of cases, whose sample is consecutive patients operated for colorectal pathology with primary anastomosis with or without a derivative ostoma between 2017 and 2020, they were excluded 48 patients because don’t have basic date requires on data base (Albumin, weight, size).
Result
There were 111 patients, 44.2% women, 55.8 men %, mean age was 66.7 . The most frequent surgical indications were colorectal cancer in 83 (74.7%) patients and diverticular disease in 18 (16.2%). The AL was 12.6% (14/111) and the global mortality was 4.5% (5/111). La anastomosis colo-colonic anastomosis presents 7.2% anastomotic leak, low rectal anastomosis 3.6% and ileocolic anastomosis 1.8%.
Conclusions
Similar results to international studies. It’s establish that hipoalbuminemia, BMI>30, masculine sex 57.1% (8/14), mean surgical time > 3 hours, are associated with a high rate of AL.
Key words: anastomotic leak; colorectal surgery; risk factors.
