Diverticulo de Meckel con tumor neuroendocrino. Presentación inusual: reporte de caso
Abstract
Meckel's diverticulum it's a congenital abnormal malformation usually asymptomatic and as incidental founding , that can be complicated by inflammatory and tumoral processes with specific abdominal symptoms, a situation that leads to a misdiagnosis. Meckel's diverticulum malignant neoplasms have a low incidence , where neuroendocrine tumors are the most representatives.
We present a case of a 72 year-old female patient, with abdominal pain and melenic stoolls, with evidence of multiple intrahepatic nodules suggestive from a neuroendocrine tumor. Additionally, with intraoperative finding of acute diverticulitis of meckel diverticulum with peridiverticular metastasis by neuroendocrine tumor.
